Letters to our Sons | December

Dear Matthew,

I want you to know how special I think you are. You are maybe the funniest person I know, and so many people agree with me. I love how you are so good at making people laugh, especially when you can tell that they need to laugh right then. Right along with that, you are a great scholar: a superb math and science student—you have presence, Matt, and that is a gift.

Your heart is so big. When I think of how much you love the people in your life, it blows me away. You love so hard and so huge and no one in your life can have any doubt how much you love them.

We love that you care so much about other people and animals.  You were a tremendous help to me a couple weeks ago when Lucy had her spinal cord injury.  You have a special way of making me feel that everything is going to be okay.  Thank you for your continued care for Lucy – I know how happy you make her when she can sit in your lap while you do your homework.

Right now, I am feeling so lucky to be your mom.

I Love you,

Mom xoxo
